My name is Griff.

I am a local man and have lived in Melksham my whole life.

I'm 37 years old and first got my hands on a pair of clippers at the ripe old age of 15, a proper mates' kitchen job.

I went from school into hairdressing at Chippenham college, but soon realised, ladies hair wasn't where my passion was. 

I then took an opportunity in a friends' family barbers as an apprentice. After learning the basics I then moved to a business that had shops dotted all over Wiltshire. Here I picked up many new customers, from all over.

I then spent a solid 5 years working in Frome, aswell as renting a chair in a salon in Melksham and building a client base in my Hometown.

Once I finally hung up my Ayia Napa clubbing boots for the summer seasons, I decided it was finally time, at the age of 24 to get my own barbershop. 

On November 2013, Griff's Barbers was born. 

We have seen quite a few lads come and go, all going on to be very adept, successful barbers in their own right. 

I offer bookings, but we also do walk ins, which currently, Cal takes care off. Feel free to pop in.

After nearly two years training over 10 young lads in barbering, while working and looking after two kids, iv decided to lay off the training for the mean time and found me a Callum a little unit up Manor Farm, Melksham. 

The postcode is sn127qt (on the bend at the bottom of sandridge hill, on the way to Bromham. Park up and go through the red haxagon doors and it's up the stairs.

Gone are the days of a gentleman wanting a rushed, 10 minute, short back and sides.

I love being able to offer an online booking system, no queues, with half hour slots, TV, music, free beer or coffee... A more personal service. 

Also offering a wide range of barbering experience in all hair types and styles. Afro Caribbean hair, to Toddlers.
